Teachers

Miss Jess  is currently performing in her 6th season at Madison Square Garden as the captain of the Knicks City Dancers. She has performed in China, London, and the Dominican Republic. Jess has performed at both the NBA Allstar Game and the Celebrity Game. She can also be seen in the major motion picture Trainwreck. Jess recently was featured in an episode of the new series Project Runway Junior. She has performed alongside Montel Jordan, Run DMC, Sugar Hill Gang, and Swizz Beats. Jess is also featured in a Pepsi commercial. She spent many years training at at this very studio in jazz, contemporary, hip hop, acro, musical theater, and ballet. After that she became a four year member of the Rutgers University Dance Team and received a minor in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts. Jess is continuing to dance and audition but loves to teach and spread her passions with new students.


Miss Fola has been dancing all her life. For 13 years, she studied jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and lyrical at Artists in Motion, based in South Brunswick, NJ. While attending Rutgers University, she studied modern dance at Mason Gross School of the Arts and participated on the Rutgers Dance Team. Since then, she has danced for the Nike Pro City Hoop Girlz and formally trained in theater arts at San Francisco’s A.C.T. Fola is currently stage managing for National Dance Showcase and is a principal dancer for Introspective Movement Project, a Philly based Contemporary Jazz company directed by Sonia James Pennington.


Miss Jessica  has been dancing since she was 4, starting to dance competitively at the age of 10. After graduating high school, she went on to become a member of the Ramapo College of NJ dance team. The team won the National Championship two years in a row, her Junior and Senior years. After graduating college, she pursued her full time job as an elementary school teacher. It brings her great joy to share her passion for dance to young students, while also encouraging those students to grow socially and academically!


Miss Michelle is originally from New Jersey. She received a BFA in Dance with a concentration in jazz from Marymount Manhattan College under the direction of Katie Langan.  Michelle has performed works by Lorna Ventura, Doug Varone, Kate Skarpetowska, Elena Comendador and more. She is currently performing in New York City and teaches dance and yoga. Michelle choreography for Artisits in Motion has won numerous awards including top choreography.


Miss Gabrielle has recently graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Exercise Science. She was a member of the nationally ranked Rutgers dance team all four years. Gabrielle trained at Artists in Motion under the direction of Sonia Pennington and Alana Donato. Most recently Gabrielle was a featured dancer in the Little Mermaid at Plays in the Park as well as Saturday Night Fever in Sayreville, NJ.  She will also be performing in A Christmas Show in Niagara Falls this December with Spirit Productions. Gabrielle loves teaching because it allows her to share her knowledge and passion for dance. She is also on faculty for  the Universal Dance Association as an instructor.


Miss Courtney began studying dance at the age of five at Artists in Motion in South Brunswick, NJ. Since graduating from Tulane University with a BS in Marketing in 2012, she has worked in the Young Talent Department at a prestigious bicoastal talent agency in New York City that represents children and teens for film, television, commercials, and Broadway shows. Courtney continues to share her passion for dance by choreographing for Artisits in Motion. She has been the recipient of numerous choreography awards. Her dances have won many overall awards at the regional and national level.


Miss Natalia originally from New York; raised in Washington, D.C. Her intensive training and devotion began at studios such as: Joy of Motion and The Dance Institution of Washington. Her eclectic training includes: Contemporary/Modern, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Puerto Rican Folklore and West African dance. She received a B.A. in Dance Making with a minor in Professional Writing from Columbia College Chicago. Natalia has had the pleasure of performing at numerous events including: Koresh Come Together Festival, Brooklyn Dance Festival, Dance Diversity Tour,  TLA: RawArtists Showcase, KYL/D 23rd InHale Performance Series, NJ Amistad Commission and Chicago’s Carnival Choreographers Ball. She has trained and performed with Philadanco II (The Apprentice Company) and Roger Lee Dance Company. Natalia has danced at the Celebration of Freedom with Matthew Schuler from The Voice, the City Hall Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, ABC 6 Dunkin Donuts’ Thanksgiving Day Parade and Wawa Welcome America Festival within Philadelphia. Choreographic works include: “Allure” (2014), “Transitions: Rap the Ballet” (2012), “El Yunque” and “Nerds” (2011). Teaching credentials include: UPenn Recreations, Musicopia Outreach Program, Beth Jacobsen School of Dance and assistant teacher at National Dance Showcase. Natalia is currently in her fourth season with Introspective Movement Project dance company.
